If the package is returned to us in saleable condition, we will refund the original cost. These opened goods have to be sold at discount prices and are not sold by mail order. Postage and packing charges are non-refundable.

Cancellation/returns policy

Data CDs will not normally be refunded due to the nature of the product. If a genuine mistake has been made we can offer a credit note against further purchases. These offers do not affect your statutory rights.

Other orders may be cancelled and goods returned unopened within 7 days for a refund, less postage & administrative costs; customer to bear cost of sending items back.

Cancellation of software downloads: Due to the nature of download products, orders may only be cancelled if you have not downloaded the product.

Prices

Prices of advance order items will be at the current price when the goods are shipped if cheaper than the price shown at time of order. We strive to get you the best possible price.

You will not be charged for items until they are despatched.

Delivery

Our larger parcels require a signature on delivery. If this might be a problem, please provide details of a neighbour who is willing to accept and sign for your parcel.

Orders of items in stock are normally shipped next working day by 1st class post or courier, although please beware shipping may take longer at peak periods such as Christmas.

If an item is out of stock you will be advised of this.

Advance orders for items not yet published will be sent as soon as possible after the item is published.

Please Note: Royal Mail do not class post as lost until 15 working days from the day of dispatch (25 working days for international deliveries).

Please note a postage and packing charge will be applied at time of order. This will be shown at the checkout stage.

Please note the company name shown on your credit card statement will either be S&N Electrocomp Supplies S&N Genealogy Supplies products or S&N British Data Archive Ltd for census products.

Software Downloads

Software downloads must be purchased in a separate transaction to other mail-order goods. Once the transaction has been confirmed, we guarantee to provide a link to the download and any activation codes required by email sent to the address provided by the customer. Please note this may not necessarily be the address used with Paypal.

Christmas Presents

We extend our exchange policy on software and data at Christmas as long as the package hasn't been opened. You can buy presents with confidence knowing they can be exchanged in the first week of January.
