Kith and Kin

The shareware program is available for download from our free area but the Pro version goes far beyond it in terms of features.

An easy to use program that allows quick entry and arrangement on screen of a family based chart. This can be printed along with a range of reports. It now copes with Julian Dates with an option to choose date formats.

• Date validation. All entered dates are checked using the "lnput format" selected.
• Print preview, from the File menu.All text reports (Details, Indices, etc) can be sent to a text file instead of the printer. KITHKIN.INI holds descriptions for months, days and all report static text. These can be changed by users requiring foreign-language output.
• Zoom in/out on screen display. Text/icons displayed in family rectangles only down to percentage defined in Options/Preferences to speed up display.
• Timeline report.Census report. Basically a Family Details report for a specific date.Customisable fonts for Screen (family rectangles), family summary window, timeline window and timeline report. Census report uses Details report fonts.FilelSaveAs GEDCOM now has an option to include K&K specific tags - so that you can exclude them.
• Timeline window. Displays events for currently selected families plus appropriate events from TIMELINE.TML.View/Relationship between two people."On this day" search.View/Statistics display.Date inconsistencies search. The parameters for this are defined in Options/DateErrorSetup.
• Windows objects can be embedded in your data about individuals or families allowing pictures, sound and video clips to be played from Kith and Kin.
  

TreeDraw

This Windows program allows you to produce beautiful charts which can include photos. The information for the chart can be either from GEDCOM or Kith and Kin files. This gives you the ability to produce neat charts from almost any genealogy program with GEDCOM.

The charts can be editted using the text and drawing editor facilities of TreeDraw. Pictures and photos can be placed anywhere on the chart so giving great flexibility.
