Dear Family Historian,

It's that time of the year again - the Who Do You Think You Are? Live! show is here. It runs over the weekend, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th February. There will be some great money-saving offers and gift bundles on our stands, and we will be running free talks and book signings throughout the weekend.

If you haven't got your tickets yet, we still have three pairs to give away! Whilst on the subject of competitions, we announce the winner of our iPad competition along with the answers and due to popularity, we have another iPad to give away, to win just answer the 3 questions below!

This month sees the release of more wills, parish records, directories, poll books, and more at TheGenealogist and we are offering up to £20 off our subscriptions. We are also launching three major releases for the Diamond subscription at the Who Do You Think You Are? Live! show, including major military and migration resources.

Our article this month looks at how photographs can give you new places to search.

A Second Chance to Win an iPad! Solve the Historical Puzzles for a chance to win!

Win an iPadThe characters in the questions to follow were all well-known personalities of their time. The questions may seem difficult at first, but don't worry, TheGenealogist gives you the tools to find the answers.

If you haven't already got access to TheGenealogist, simply go to TheGenealogist for a free trial. Here you will also find the full competition details, terms and conditions, and most importantly the entry form for you to submit your answers.

Click here to find some helpful hints on finding the answers

The questions are:

1. In the 1901 Census, a famous painter was in residence at The Savoy Hotel, London. Can you name him?

2. George, Prince of Denmark and Anne, Queen of Great Britain were married in 1683. Interestingly, details of their son’s birth (Prince William, Duke of Gloucester) were included on the marriage record. What time was the Prince born and how long did the labour last?

3. Using the unique forename only search on TheGenealogist, can you name another sibling of the children Mercy, Temperance and Charity in the 1881 Census?

Click here to get started, good luck!
