The characters in the questions to follow were all well-known personalities of their
time. The questions may seem difficult at first, but don't worry, TheGenealogist gives
you the tools to find the answers.
If you haven't already got access to
TheGenealogist, simply go to TheGenealogist for a
free trial. Here you will also find the

The questions are:
1. In the 1901 Census, a famous painter was in residence at
The Savoy Hotel, London. Can you name him?
2. George, Prince of Denmark and Anne, Queen of Great
Britain were married in 1683.
Interestingly, details of their son’s birth (Prince William, Duke of Gloucester)
were included on the marriage record. What time was the Prince born and how long did the
labour last?
3. Using the unique forename only search on TheGenealogist,
can you name another sibling of the children Mercy, Temperance and Charity in the 1881
Census?

Don't leave your old photographs gathering dust - dig them out and bring them back to
life!
With just a name scribbled on the back, the approximate year from the style of clothing,
the photographers location and the type of photograph you can learn a lot.
From the photo on the right, we can see the family name of ‘Peskett’ above
the shop and the cart confirms the location as Ilford.
But why leave it there? Click here to read the full article
