Higher Image Quality
We have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on expanding the company to scan all of the microfilm and microfiche in-house. This brings a tremendous quality benefit in that we can scan the microfilm or fiche several times to get the best possible images.
We complete census records for England and Wales for 1841-1901*, so if you want access to this permanently with the ability to browse the area where your ancestors lived, order now. The London 1901 Census will give you fast access to about 27 GB of page images and area indexes on 45 CDs. The images have been digitally enhanced and filtered to make the release as compact and clear as possible.
*1881 census is only available on CD for London, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Kent. |
County Set Coverage
The enumeration districts don't follow the county boundaries and are
based on parliamentary boundaries. The best way to discover what CD set
you need is by using the PRO catalogue.
See our census latest releases to find what set you need.
To see the coverage of any of our sets visit the TNA website and enter:
In box 1 the place name
In box 2 the year
In box 3 the reference (RG13 for 1901, RG12 for 1891, RG10 for 1871, RG9 for 1861, HO107 for 1851 or 1841)
This will give you the piece number which can be checked against the latest releases page to see which CD covers that piece. |
